If you're looking for a remote WordPress job, you might come across the occasional posting on multiple job sites. While this can be frustrating, it's important to remember that each site serves a different audience. For example, some sites might be geared towards freelancers, while others might be more focused on full-time positions.

As a result, it's essential to cast a wide net when searching for remote WordPress jobs. By using multiple job sites, you'll increase your chances of finding the perfect position. So don't get discouraged if you see the same job posted on numerous sites. Instead, use it as an opportunity to broaden your search and find the best remote WordPress job for you.

Where To Find Remote WordPress Jobs - Full-Time, Freelance + More

If you're looking for remote WordPress jobs, there are a few good sources to check out. WordPress.com is a great place to start, as they offer a variety of remote positions, including full-time, part-time, and freelance roles. You can also search for remote WordPress jobs on job boards like Indeed and Monster.

Finally, don't forget to check with companies that offer location-specific WordPress appointments, as many of them also have remote positions available. With a bit of searching, you should be able to find the perfect remote WordPress job for your skills and experience.

Remote WordPress Job - Codeable

Remote WordPress Jobs - codeable-1

1. Codeable

Job Types: #freelance jobs

Go to Codeable

Codeable is an exclusive marketplace for WordPress freelancers. Of course, they don’t accept anyone, but if you have the chops to get approved, you’ll be able to peruse a variety of remote WordPress jobs that pay a minimum of $60 per hour.

Nathan Ello is an excellent example of a WordPress freelancer who uses Codeable successfully. If you’re interested, you can read his blog for some insights on WordPress freelancing and Codeable. In his posts, Nathan provides an inside look at what it’s like to be a remote WordPress developer and how to use Codeable to find high-paying jobs.

He also offers helpful tips for getting started in WordPress freelancing. If you’re serious about making a living as a remote WordPress developer, then Nathan’s blog is a must-read.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Authentic Jobs

Remote WordPress Jobs - authenticjobs

2. Authentic Jobs

Job Types: Mostly #full-time or #remote, but can also filter by #freelance and #part-time

Go to Authentic Jobs

Authentic Jobs is a job board for designers, developers, and creative pros. You can find WordPress jobs by simply searching for the keyword “WordPress”. Another neat feature of Authentic Jobs is the ability to quickly toggle between All Jobs and Remote Jobs with the click of a button. You can also add filters for job type, skills, experience level, compensation, and more.

Quick tip: Alerts are also something to consider; search for WordPress, toggle remote, and trigger an email alert whenever new jobs come in.

If you’re interested in hiring WordPress developers, use the promo code CODEINWP10 at the checkout and get 10% off.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Toptal

Remote WordPress Jobs - toptal

3. Toptal

Job Types: #freelance gigs

Go to Toptal

If you're a WordPress freelancer, then you know that remote jobs are the way to go. You can work from anywhere in the world, and there's a huge demand for WordPress designers and developers. Toptal bills itself as a freelancing site for the “top 3% of freelance talent.” If you want to view jobs on the site, you'll need to apply and be accepted.

As a result, you'll find better paying jobs than some other freelance marketplaces I'll list out later on in this post. The downside is that there's a lot of competition to get hired on Toptal. But if you have the skills and experience, it's definitely worth applying.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Remote OK Job Board

Remote WordPress Jobs - remoteok

4. Remote OK Job Board

Job Types: Mostly #full-time #remote WordPress jobs

Go to Remote Ok

Remote OK is a great place to start your search if you're looking for remote WordPress jobs. It's an offshoot of the popular remote working site Nomad List, which lists exclusively remote jobs – so you don't need to sort between location-based and remote jobs. The selection isn't huge, but by searching for “WordPress,” you can quickly narrow it down to all the available remote WordPress jobs.

And because the same database powers it as Nomad List, you can be sure that the jobs are all up-to-date and well-vetted. So if you're ready to take your WordPress career remote, start your search at Remote OK.

At the time that I wrote this post, there were four active WordPress job listings.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Jobs.WordPress.Net

Remote WordPress Jobs - jobs.wordpress.net_

5. Jobs.WordPress.net

Job Types: A solid mix between #full-time, #part-time, and #project-based jobs

Go to Jobs.WordPress.net

Jobs.WordPress.net is a part of the WordPress family of sites, and it includes all types of remote WordPress jobs, spanning everything from design to development, minor tweaks, and writing. In addition, you can find various location-specific jobs on the site, so check the Location column before you get too excited about a job.

The remote WordPress jobs on Jobs.WordPress.net are the best in the business. This site is the place to start your search for an opportunity to work with WordPress.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Post Status Job Board

Remote WordPress Jobs - poststatus

6. Post Status Job Board

Job Types: Both #full-time and #part-time jobs

Go to Post Status Job Board

Post Status Job Board is the job-focused page from Post Status, a popular site for WordPress professionals.

It doesn’t have a ton of jobs. But every single job on the page is specifically about WordPress. Again, just make sure that you look for the Remote tag because some jobs are location-specific.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Smashing Jobs

Remote WordPress Jobs - smashingmagazine

7. Smashing Jobs

Job Types: Both #full-time and #freelance jobs – though most listings are full-time

Go to Smashing Jobs

Smashing Jobs is, as the name suggests, Smashing Magazine’s job board. It includes jobs for all types of web designs and developers, but you can find WordPress jobs by using the search box.

You can also filter by full-time and freelance job types. Again, just make sure that the job supports remote work, though. Not all the job postings do.

Remote WordPress Jobs - WPhired

Remote WordPress Jobs - wphired

8. WPhired

Job Types: Mostly #full-time, but includes some #freelance and #part-time jobs

Go to WPhired

As you can guess from the name, WPhired focuses exclusively on WordPress jobs. The site seems to force job posters to choose a location, but if you read the job descriptions, you’ll realize that plenty of them allow remote work.

Remote WordPress Jobs - WPMU DEV Job Board

Remote WordPress Jobs - wpmudevorgjobs

9. WPMU DEV Job Board

Job Types: Primarily one-off #freelance gigs

Go to WPMU DEV Job Board

The WPMU DEV Job Board isn’t as active as it once was, but you can still find a small selection of freelance WordPress jobs there.

When I wrote this post, there were four different postings for one-off WordPress gigs.

Remote WordPress Jobs - SkipTheDrive

Remote WordPress Jobs - skipthedrive

10. SkipTheDrive

Job Types: Mostly #full-time jobs

Go to SkipTheDrive

SkipTheDrive is a site that curates remote work opportunities from other job listing sites. The selection isn’t huge – my search only turned up a couple of WordPress jobs. But it’s a good place to check out if you’re exclusively looking to find WordPress jobs that allow remote work.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Startup Jobs, Asia

Remote WordPress Jobs - startupjobs.asia_

11. Startup Jobs Asia

Job Types: Most listings are #full-time, but also includes #part-time and #freelance jobs

Go to Startup Jobs, Asia

Though most of the WordPress jobs on this site are in Asia (as you might expect from the name), you can also find remote WordPress jobs on the site. So whether you’re looking to find WordPress jobs in Singapore, Malaysia, or “Anywhere”, you can peruse plenty of options at Startup Jobs, Asia.

Remote WordPress Jobs - AngelList Jobs

Remote WordPress Jobs - angel

12. AngelList Jobs

Job Types: Mostly #full-time jobs

Go to AngelList Jobs

AngelList collects jobs from startups around the world, many of which allow remote work. While the jobs aren’t WordPress specific, you can filter by keywords, roles, pay, equity, and more to find WordPress jobs that perfectly match your criteria.

In fact, the detail of the filters offered by AngelList is one of the things that differentiates it from other job sites, in my opinion. You will need to register an account and fill out your profile in order to view jobs, though.

Remote WordPress Jobs - We Work Remotely

Remote WordPress Jobs - weworkremotely

13. We Work Remotely

Job Types: Mostly #full-time #remote jobs

Go to We Work Remotely

Unsurprisingly, We Work Remotely focuses exclusively on remote jobs. Because all jobs are remote, all you need to do is search for “WordPress” to bring up a solid selection of jobs.

At the time of writing this post, there were about 6 WordPress-related remote jobs, which is pretty solid as far as remote work sites go.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Upwork

Remote WordPress Jobs - upwork-1

14. Upwork

Job Types: One-off #freelance gigs

Go to Upwork

I don’t relish posting Upwork because so many of the job postings quickly become a race to the bottom when it comes to price.

But here’s one thing that I can’t deny about Upwork:

There are tons of WordPress jobs to be found.

At the time of writing this post, my search for “WordPress” turned up over 8,500 different jobs. Most of those probably aren’t viable opportunities, but with a sample size of over 8,500 different jobs, you can definitely turn up something.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Krop

Remote WordPress Jobs - krop-1

15. Krop

Job Types: Mostly #full-time jobs, though there are some #contract postings

Go to Krop

Krop is a design board built specifically for “creative, design, and tech jobs.” Many of the jobs are on-site, but if you click through to the individual job descriptions you can find some remote jobs.

I’m including Krop because it has a number of quality WordPress job postings, though the lack of a filter for remote work is frustrating.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Freelancer

Remote WordPress Jobs - freelancer

16. Freelancer

Job Types: As the name suggests, these are primarily one-off #freelance gigs

Go to Freelancer

At the time of writing this post, Freelancer has over 2,400 different WordPress gigs you can peruse. If you can sift through the often low-paying jobs, you'll find work ranging from installing WordPress to developing plugins and lots more. While most of the jobs are remote, some require on-site work.

It's worth checking out Freelancer if you're looking for remote WordPress jobs. Just be prepared to sift through many low-paying gigs before you find something that fits your skill set well.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Flexjobs

Remote WordPress Jobs - flexjobs

17. Flexjobs

Job Types: Mostly #full-time, but also includes #part-time work

Go to Flexjobs

Flexjobs is a large general job site with a specific focus on telecommuting jobs. A search for WordPress returns an impressive 279 postings. Part of that is because Flexjobs is a bit less curated than some of the more aggressively filtered sites like Remote OK, and We Work Remotely.

Still, if you just want a big dump of remote WordPress jobs and are willing to wade through some duds, then Flexjobs gives you a good amount of choice.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Jobspresso

Remote WordPress Jobs - jobspresso

18. Jobspresso

Job Types: Mostly #full-time, but can also filter by #part-time and #freelance

Go to Jobspresso

Jobspresso is a well-designed job listing site focused specifically on remote work. You can search by keyword and also filter by industry to find WordPress jobs.

Similarly, you can also use filters to choose between full-time, part-time, and freelance work.

At the time of writing this post, a search for WordPress development jobs returned 11 different jobs.

Remote WordPress Jobs - Craigslist

Remote WordPress Jobs - telecommuterjobs

19. Craigslist / Telecommuter Jobs

Job Types: Mostly #full-time or #part-time in my searches, but YMMV.

Go to Telecommuter Jobs

Bear with me here…

Although it often has a bad reputation, Craigslist can be a decent place to find remote WordPress jobs. Of course, you'll have to sort through many postings that aren't relevant to your search, but if you're persistent, you can find some promising leads.

To simplify the job search process, you can use Telecommuter Jobs to filter out postings that aren't for remote positions. Although it may take some time and effort, you can ultimately find remote WordPress jobs on Craigslist.

Remote WordPress Jobs - OnTheGoSystems

Remote WordPress Jobs - onthegosystems
